Ons verhaal

De sigarettenmoord in Oostende (februari 2007) was de rechtstreekse aanleiding voor het opzetten van OKIDOO. Serviceclub Kiwanis Mercator Oostende besloot op dat moment om hier iets structureel mee aan te veranderen.

Via het eigen netwerk kwam de serviceclub te weten dat er een psychiater in een lagere school actief was rond sociale en emotionele vaardigheden, dit met een eigen project dat de serviceclub wilde steunen.

Wegens succes en groei van het project, is er eind 2018 beslist een eigen vzw op te richten: OKIDOO vzw. Zij is een non-profitorganisatie in Oostende, met een eigen bestuur, een Trustteam en een team coaches.
